history. Then Harriet Tubman {moses} got slaves to follow her to freedom and if you did not fit in the group she would teach you a song with a code in it called ( Follow the drinking gourd ) the code was follow the north star.if they found you following the north star running away you would be branded to your owner, beaten, burned, staved, or killed. It was a tough road to freedom but when you smelled freedom you would know it was worth it . But when you where still a slave you would have to do yard work or house work . Your house was small and crowded your blanket was small your pillow was hard or you had no pillow.This time was sad very sad .
2.Slavery was not easy.They also had to work in people houses to.There was a thing called the underground railroad.That is were Harriet Tubman came in.When she escape from slavery,she came back for other slaves. A tough time for a slave by Mariah ,slaves were going though tough times during the civil war. Luckily today slavery is against the law. The thing that I'm uncomfortable is how slaves got punished. It would bring pain to all slaves. I don't get why people would do that to there own kind. I'm just glad to be living without slavery today.Here is a diary of William B. The time is over!!! There are no more slaves all because of Harriet Tubman. She helped slaves get away from the mean white people that were treating them wrong. Harriet took the slaves to a place called the Underground Railroad, even though it wasn't underground. The Underground Railroad is a place where slaves crossed to have a free life.
